16 Servings (1/2 cup or 125 mL each)
Steps
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
In a large bowl, add oatmeal, alpiste seed, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, pumpkin seeds, ground flaxseed and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, honey, butter and oil. Mix thoroughly and stir into oatmeal mixture.
Place the mixture on two 13 x 27 inch (32.5 cm x 67.5 cm) baking sheets.
Bake for 20 minutes. Stir at mid-baking point to ensure even toasting.
Remove from oven when lightly browned.

5 cups (1.25 L) large flaked oatmeal
1 cup (250 mL) alpiste seed
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted almond slivers
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted hazelnuts
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted pecan halves
1/2 cup (125 mL) toasted pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup (50 mL) ground flaxseed
1/3 cup (75 mL) brown sugar, lightly packed
1/3 cup (75 mL) melted, salted butter
2 Tbsp (25 mL) liquid honey
2 Tbsp (25 mL) canola oil
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
