Alpiste Sunshine Bars

Steps
Position rack in bottom one third of oven.
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
Spray a 13 x 9 x 2 inch (33 x 23 x 5 cm) glass baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, alpiste, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, cherries and ground almonds.
Melt butter in microwave or low heat on stove. Add brown sugar and canola oil.
Add butter mixture to dry mixture, stirring thoroughly.
Pat mixture into prepared pan.
Bake 45 minutes.
Cool 30 minutes then cut into 2 inch (5 cm) squares.
Let cool completely before removing from pan.

1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar
1/4 cup (50 mL) canola
